OPP Bike program
Bicycle for Youth Officer - During the year of 2006 2007 the Mitchell Optimists, with contributions from the Monkton Optimists and members of the former Fullarton Optimists, were able to donate a bicycle to Darren Bulbrook, Youth Officer working in the local schools. The bike will help him to patrol the town on a more personal level than when he is in a cruiser. "People even stop me to talk with them when I am out on the bike," he said.
Constable Bulbrook was pleased to note that several businesses in the community helped out so he can issue 'coupons' to youngsters riding bikes safely and obeying the rules of the road. These coupons are redeemable at these merchants for rewards. "Something more fun than issuing tickets for breaking the rules," said constable Bulbrook.

Constable Bulbrook has since moved on to other adventures.
